For example, if you select a script font for headlines then make sure any accompanying body text works well together too. Additionally, don't forget about accessibility requirements such as making sure your font is at least 16px for body copy and 14px for larger text.

Finally, bear in mind different platforms you're designing for and always check what fonts they support before getting started. On top of that try not to mix multiple typefaces within a single project unless necessary as this may cause confusion and reduce clarity.
